FRIDA is a realiable system for radio network planning and frequency allocation for systems in the HF,VHF,UHF, and SHF in the frequency bands 2MHz to 40GHz. The system simplifies radio planning during military operations.

FRIDA supports peacetime, crisis and wartime frequency management for Joint Headquarters, Army, Air force, and Navy.

FRIDA's architecture is designed to operate either in standalone mode or as networked workstations, each handling a designated segment of the communication planning mission. It is also designed to operate on portable computers to support field use. Commanding Officers at different sites and levels may, simultaneously and in a coordinated way, plan and manage the operational communications units and equipment.
