The challenge

You need to integrate the new map system to existing applications or develop new map features that are tailored to a specific need. For this work, you need someone who has expertise in map systems and who understands integration with neighboring systems.

The solution

Teleplan has broad experience with map systems, as illustrated, for example, by the MARIA product line. In addition to having developed the map system, we have also created customer-specific systems and applications around the map functionality. This we have done in many different problem domains and markets - both military and civilian.

We have shown in practice that we know the development and the integration of map systems.

Projects examples:

Customer: PDMT. Delivery: Teleplan has in cooperation with the Norwegian police developed GEOPOL, a tailored application for handling 112 calls, mobile violence alarms, and fleet management of their own vehicles. GEOPOL is a nationwide system with a central for data receiving and routing to the police. It can be installed locally in every district to track mobile violence alarms and position the GSM devices having called into 112.

Customer: Used in other products, for example; CORVUS Delivery: (Spirea) Map Server: General map server that supports MARIA, ArcIMS, and OpenMap. Can be used by employing e.g. http or a socket API.

Customer: Used in other products, for example; CORVUS Delivery: (Spirea) Symbol Server: Symbol Server that provides easy access to the symbols in APP6-A. Can be used with a Java API, HTTP, or a separate UDP protocol.
