NORCCIS II
NORCCIS - a network centric C2 system suite NORCCIS C2 Services supports joint operational and tactical levels of operations. The system is designed to provide an enhanced operational effectiveness in times of Peace, Crisis and War for both Article 5 and Out-of-Area situations. These goals are achieved by using a combination of commercial of the shelf (COTS) products and specially developed C2 applications.
The NORCCIS functional services support commanders and staff members from situational awareness trough decision making to execution and assessments. NORCCIS has for years been in operational use by Norwegian Navy units, Army units and Special Forces in national and international operations. The primary C2 service provided in NORCCIS is the functionality to build, maintain and exchange the common operations picture (COP). The NORCCIS database is a dynamic database for storage and retrieval of operational data. Force Elements from all battle dimensions and services can be populated in the database with information on identity, positions, command relationship data, information related to mission and type of operations, overall operational status and specific logistic status.
